This past Saturday, my husband, puppy, and I had family Christmas pictures made. Yes, we took the puppy. Yes, we're those people that say fur child. There's no shame here.

That's about all I've got tonight. It's been a rough evening between the snow and crazy puppy. Tennesseans aren't well equipped for the white stuff or the freezing rain stuff or anything other than sunshine.

Awkward pictures and weekend plans

This title is in honor of my patented Friday blogging formula! ;-)

I took these shots during the Pantone challenge week but I was still in my swamped/life funk phase so these were never posted. When you have pictures this awkwardly charming though, you can't keep them to yourself! This is the first time I've put this cardigan and dress together, and I liked it! I've also never worn this dress with tights and boots, but I'll be trying it again with this one and the other two I have (in green and black). I've actually shown this dress on the blog before too, so yay for remixing!

I don't even have an explanation. Maybe I was showing the cardigan's shape?

And, to talk about the second part of the title, what are everyone's weekend plans? =) I'm going to spend at least a few minutes cleaning out ill-fitting clothes and planning next week's outfits. Also, it's going to be close to 80 here on Sunday! Hope it doesn't make the ladybugs and wasps attack our house again. EEK!! 

30 x 30: Day Four, 01/04/13

I love red and gray, so I'm surprised I've never put this outfit together (and unfortunately, my picture is pretty terrible. I'm sensing a 30 x 30 theme!). I wear these pants quite often, and I've worn a red and gray striped top with them, but that felt really "matchy matchy". This incorporates the color scheme without feeling so kindergartner-ish. I got this shirt off the Kmart clearance rack for $2 many years ago. Its cost per wear is probably down to pennies by now. Woo hoo!

Also, you know what's fun when you're getting your clothes ready for the week and choosing from your 30 x 30 selections that were picked with the thoughts that it's January, winter, and cold? Looking at the forecast and seeing that the coldest day of the week is 50 degrees and the warmest day will hit 70. I LOVE warm weather, but it puts a bit of a wrench in my clothes planning. Oh well. Roll with the punches, right? =) Has anyone ever experienced something like that where you plan for one kind of weather and then get completely blindsided?

What I liked:

• The color scheme
• The looser top with the tighter pants. Proportions and whatnot

What I didn't like:

• The shirt has a little bit of pilling. I may be able to take care of that though
