What I Wore: Monday, October 15, 2012

We had one last interview at work today, so I tried to continue the habit of dressing a little nicer than usual to convey the idea that I'm kind of put together and reasonably professional. Ha. Fooled him...

What I liked:
  •  I didn't love the outfit while I was wearing it, but the pictures show that it's a little better than I thought
  • The dress has pockets!

What I didn't like:
  • The weird white tie on the dress. It's not quite long enough to make a nice bow in the back, and it's too short to look right in the front.
Dress- via my grandmother, cardigan- via Mom's closet, tights- Burke's Outlet, booties- gift from my future mother-in-law

What I Wore: Friday, October 12, 2012

I was alone in the library after closing time, so I decided to try a different location. I like mixing it up a little. Ha.

What I liked:
  •  I felt comfortable and stylish

What I didn't like:
  • The boots kept falling down all day...a little too slouchy'
  • My hair looked awful. I wear a lot of ponytails, but this one was particularly bad...

Shirt- Burke's Outlet, pants- Old Navy, boots- Academy Sports

What I Wore: Thursday, October 11, 2012

I had to teach a class today, but it turns out that the professor had different expectations than what she had communicated to me. Argh. At least I looked decent...

What I liked:
  •  I felt comfortable and put together in this outfit

What I didn't like:
  • Nothing really!

Sweater- Walmart via yard sale, pants- Goodwill (don't remember brand), shoes- Academy Sports

What I Wore: Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Another day, another round of bedroom shots. Meh.

What I liked:
  •  No ironing required!
  • This shirt is so easy. I should wear it more often.

What I didn't like:
  • The blue stripes on the pants weren't defined enough for them to tie the shirt to the outfit
Shirt- Goodwill, pants- Old Navy via Goodwill, shoes- Academy Sports

What I Wore: Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Nothing much to say about this one today. My pictures are in a different order than usual, but I'm leaving them. I'm rebellious like that sometimes...

What I liked:
  • The shape of the outfit
  • The pop of color from the tank top underneath, when it decided to show

What I didn't like:
  • Nothing that I can think of!

What I Wore: Monday, October 8, 2012

Mirror pictures drive me crazy because you can't see the outfit details as much as in my office. Grrr. This dress has now been downgraded to tunic status because it's waaaaay too short to be worn with tights. That's not a bad thing, but it is tough to discover that roughly 20 minutes before you need to leave for work...

What I liked:
  •  The green and brown (hard to see in these pictures) felt really "fall-ish"

What I didn't like:
  • I felt like Peter Pan or Robin Hood. Ha.

Dress- Ross, leggings- Old Navy, boots- via a yard sale

What I Wore: Friday, October 5, 2012

Tomorrow is the Homecoming game at the university I work at. I'm not going, but I thought I would at least dress up and try to look spirited...or something like that. Also, these jeans have not fit before today. Yay!

What I liked:
  • Casual...

What I didn't like:
  • I'm neutral on this one. There's only so much you can do when trying to be spirited...

Shirt- from my employer, jeans- Walmart, shoes- Old Navy

What I Wore: Thursday, October 4, 2012

This outfit was not too great. In fact, it inspired me to go to Goodwill to go pants shopping during lunch. I'm not proud of that fact, but I am proud of the pants I got! Also, the pants hem on one leg is being held together with a safety pin. Never a good look for a professional...

What I liked:
  •  The color combo

What I didn't like:
  • Not a great outfit- pants too big and falling apart
Shirt- Kohl's via Goodwill, pants- Goodwill, flats- Academy

What I Wore: Wednesday, October 3, 2012

More bedroom pictures today, but I do have an "on location" shot at the end. If you don't like taxidermy, then you may just want to go ahead and skip this one today... ;-P

What I liked:
  •  The color of the top. Plus the fact that I went with a color instead of black, white, or gray!

What I didn't like:
  • My mom always says these pants look like something my grandma would wear. They're a little too baggy on me, so I may be getting rid of them soon
  • My shoes hurt!
Cardigan- From Mom, shirt- Kmart, pants- Old Navy, shoes- Life Strides via Goodwill (brand new!)

What I Wore: Tuesday, October 2, 2012

This is another one of those outfits that just felt blah and awful all day. These were the third pair of pants that I put on. The first were kind of a mint green color, that I had planned to wear with tan boots, but they looked awful. The second were gray that I wore with gray boots, but they were jeans and looked to "jean-ish" for a Tuesday at work. These just didn't do well either. They were too loose and bunchy. They went to the Goodwill bag when I got home, and this shirt may suffer the same fate soon!

What I liked:
  •  I liked the idea of the chambray shirt and pants/boots. I've seen so many other bloggers pulling it off, but I don't think I have the correct structure for mine...yet.

What I didn't like:
  • Loose, slouchy pants
  • Baggy shirt
Chambray shirt- Walmart, tank top- Walmart, pants- Old Navy, boots- Christmas gift from grandma

What I Wore: Monday, October 1, 2012

Today was the first of three Mondays where we are interviewing people for a position at work. I wanted to dress a little better than normal, but my mirror pictures don't convey that. My tights are argyle. If that doesn't say serious librarian, I don't know what does...

What I liked:
  •  Pretty easy outfit that didn't require a lot of thought
What I didn't like:
  • The dress felt a little short
Dress- New York and Company via a yard sale, tights- Walmart, boots- Christmas gift from grandma
