What I Wore: June 10, 2013

I didn't do Inspiration Monday today because I forgot what the picture looked like when I got dressed this morning! Here's what I wore today instead:

What I Wore: May 13, 2013 (Inspiration Monday!)

Do you ever have those mornings when you think you have a lot of time and then you look at the clock and realize you should've left 5 minutes ago? That was definitely me this morning. I went to the gym and came home to quickly rinse off, change, gussy up for work (gussy up...Southernism of the day), and frittered away more time than I anticipated. Oops! The point of telling all that was to justify my phone pictures for Inspiration Monday! ;-p

I don't have a lace dress or a white dress, so I just used the top half for inspiration. I was pretty excited to wear these shoes because I haven't really worn them that much, and I got them at least three years ago. Sorry for all of the blurriness today! Thanks for helping me get dressed this morning, Inspiration Monday!

What I Wore: May 2, 2013

It's been a rough day. Between allergies and some work drama, I've felt like my butt has been dragging the ground all day. Let's just say I've already consumed an adult beverage slushy and dinner may include another one.

Also, I'm still trying to get a good handle on my picture taking location and camera settings, so today's pictures weren't super great. Maybe sometime in the next 45 years, I'll figure it out!

My pants were the first item that I chose for this challenge, followed by the dress from Monday. Also, both my top and wrinkled pants came from Goodwill today. It's hard to see in today's pictures, but the pants have subtle pink pinstripes, so I was pretty matchy-matchy. This post from October shows the stripes a little more clearly. 

Only one more day left in the Pantone challenge from Literate & Stylish and The Modern Austen. Tomorrow's color is poppy red, which sounds like a great color for FRIDAY!!

What I Wore: Wednesday, October 24, 2012

This is one of those outfits that I threw on after oversleeping this morning. Oversleeping is kind of the story of my life. At some point, maybe I should change the time my alarm clock goes off and just accept it instead of dancing with the snooze button every single morning. Maybe.

This entry is kind of picture heavy today, which is odd considering I'm wearing a gray shirt and black pants and am not even particularly thrilled with it.

This is one of those outfits that I didn't think was too bad until I walked outside and realized that my pants were striped...with pink stripes. Oops. I think they look plain from far away, so I guess that's all that matters...

What I Wore: Tuesday, October 2, 2012

This is another one of those outfits that just felt blah and awful all day. These were the third pair of pants that I put on. The first were kind of a mint green color, that I had planned to wear with tan boots, but they looked awful. The second were gray that I wore with gray boots, but they were jeans and looked to "jean-ish" for a Tuesday at work. These just didn't do well either. They were too loose and bunchy. They went to the Goodwill bag when I got home, and this shirt may suffer the same fate soon!

What I liked:

•  I liked the idea of the chambray shirt and pants/boots. I've seen so many other bloggers pulling it off, but I don't think I have the correct structure for mine...yet.

What I didn't like:

• Loose, slouchy pants
• Baggy shirt

What I Wore: Friday, August 31, 2012

TGIF!!

Today was "College Colors Day" where you're supposed to wear the colors of your favorite college football team. I knew that, but for some reason didn't lay out orange and white clothes (Go UT!), so this was a last minute decision, and it shows.

Also, I was in a hurry to take pics before going to yoga class (my job has a Friday afternoon yoga class on campus! Yay!!), so that's why my jewelry is grouped together and why I didn't get an extreme shoe closeup. Hope I don't disappoint any super fans...

What I liked:

• I like all of the colors in the top. I can see wearing it with a lot of stuff this fall.

What I didn't like:

• Pretty much everything. I hardly ever wear sleeveless tops, much less to work, so I felt "fluffy" today. Also, this whole outfit made me feel unprofessional, even for a Friday. Blah.
